As a virtual Islamic learning environment, Ummi’s Learning Center requires students to maintain proper Islamic dress during class time. This promotes respect, modesty, and discipline, even in a remote setting.
Boys (Ages 7 and up):
  • Thobe (long or short sleeve)

  • Pants must be above the ankle (no shorts)

  • Izhaar (modesty in covering the ' awrah)

  • Kufi or Kafayyah

  • No clothing with images or characters

Girls (Ages 7 and up):
  • Hijab/Khimar covering the head and chest

  • Abaya or loose, long dress that does not reveal the

  • shape

  • No dresses with images or characters

  • No short sleeves or tang tops

General Guidelines for All Students:
  • Neutral colors are preferred and may be worn by

  • both boys and girls.

  • No pajamas or prayer garments (such as

  • overhead jilbabs intended only for salah) are to be

  • worn during class.

  • Clothing must be clean, modest, and appropriate

  • for a structured learning environment.

Adhering to this dress code helps foster an atmosphere of seriousness, respect, and Islamic identity—reflecting the values we uphold at Ummi’s Learning Center.
